World number three Alexander Zverev has lost to 14th seed Denis Shapovalov, who has reached his quarterfinal clash with Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open.
Shapovalov defeated Zverev 6-3, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 at Margaret Court Arena to earn his first last-eight spot at Melbourne Park.
Earlier, Nadal won the first set tiebreak that lasted almost half an hour before going on to defeat Adrian Mannarino of France to reach the quarter-finals.
Nadal and Mannarino were level 6-6 in the first set, requiring a tiebreak to end the stalemate.

The first set lasted over 80 minutes, but Nadal found it easier to advance in the second and third sets as he won 7-6 (16-14), 6-2, 6-2 under oppressive conditions on the rod. Laver Arena.
This will be the Spaniard's 14th appearance in the quarter-finals at Melbourne Park. He won the 2009 title and was runner-up in 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2019.
