John Cena reveals he was turned down for several superhero movies before he got a chance to wow him with the character of 'Peacemaker' in The Suicide Squad.
During her conversation on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, wrestler-turned-actor Margot Robbie got candid about roping in for the starrer.
He said, "I can't tell you how many superhero roles I've been rejected for. Shazam definitely has one. There was a brief foray into the Deadpool universe, Rejection." (Quoted by Comic Book)
"There were some in the Marvel universe that were rejected. But you know, I keep trying."
The 44-year-old actor also reflected on not being able to land a role in Shazam!, which was later played by Zachary Levy.
"I feel like a kid, so Shazam was very interesting to me ... and when I read the script, there were times, like ... That's it, I don't chase 'I want to do this,' I always have to read it," Cena explained.
