Today, in the fourth round of Australian Open number three seed, Alexander Zverev is currently playing Denis Shapovalov, a young prodigy from Canada. The Canadian currently has two set ups against the German and is playing really well.
In the final round, Shapovalov defeated big-serving American, Reilly Opelka, to reach the fourth round. Playing against a bigger server would have certainly helped him prepare for Zverev in the fourth round. The German, on the other hand, wants to make a mark in the Grand Slam tournament, as he hasn't had that much success in the past.

Alexander Zverev breaks in the second set
Alexander Zverev has been playing solid tennis this tournament so far and looks to be a clear favorite in this fourth round match against Denis Shapovalov. However, the German hasn't played great tennis so far and already has two sets for Canada.
After an early break in the second set, the German got really frustrated and ended up hitting everything on his racket. Zverev completely broke his racket out of pure anger. As a result, the German received a warning from the chair umpire.
Meanwhile, letting go of the disappointment could help the German, as he broke through against Shapovalov in the second set and played well so far despite going down 2 sets.
Both the players have been committing many mistakes in the match so far which includes many unforced errors and double faults. Zverev made some big double faults at crucial points and is therefore two sets down. Shapovalov had more unforced errors than Zverev, but the Canadian hit more winners, and that's what keeps him in the game.
Can Zverev do something about his poor Grand Slam record ?
The German player always plays well in every ATP tournament but never performs as well in the Grand Slam. However, he reached the final of the US Open in 2020, where he lost to Dominic Thiem. Zverev always breaks out in big matches and this has been a problem with the German.
If Shapovalov wins the match, he will face the 20-time Grand Slam champion in the quarterfinals and it will certainly be an entertaining match.
