Julia Garner, Bebe Rexha and other actors are reportedly auditioning 'gruesome' to play Madonna in biopic
Julia Garner, Bebe Rexha, Black Widow star Florence Pugh and others are competing for a chance to play Madonna in a biopic on the Queen of Pop.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, several stars are trying to land the coveted role, including Alexa Demi, Odessa Young, Emma Laird and Skye Ferreira, while a few have been roped in for the project.
The outlet, quoting its source, revealed that the contestants are auditioning with casting director Carmen Cub for a 'gruesome' audition.
Contenders are also trying to keep up with the intense dance practice of 'Madonna Boot Camp', which runs for 11 hours a day with the star herself.
The actor is also teaching along with singing practices with the 63-year-old pop sensation.
"You have to be able to do everything," the insider dropped on the outlet.
The biopic will reportedly revolve around the Material Girl singer's 1990 tour, although things have not been finalized as the script is still in the process of writing.
Last October, the Hung Up song-producer graced The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when he worked on his inspirations to create a feature about his career.
"I'm doing this because a bunch of people have tried to write movies about me, but they're always men," she shared.
