Princess Diana's best friend Julia Samuel recently shared how she feels about the royal's untimely death

Princess Diana's best friend Julia Samuel, who is also her grandson Prince George's godmother, recently shared a comment on the bond they share and how she feels about the royal's untimely death.

Speaking to The Observer, Julia expressed her condolences for her friend, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997.

"I got angry. I was angry that she died, and was shocked and I really couldn't understand it all. I mean, I understand it better now. I understand what people thought they really were." Know him and love him. But I still feel sad today, ”said Julia.

Julia also opened up about the experience of seeing Prince George growing up, calling it a 'lovely' way to honor her friendship with the late Diana.

"Well, I consider myself lucky that I was such a good friend of Princess Diana. And I really love my godson, George. And that's a lovely way to love him," Julia said.

Julia works as a bereavement counselor and is also the founder of the charity Child Bereavement UK, which is patronized by Prince William.
